During the Great Saturday and after the service in the churches, cakes, Easter curd, eggs are consecrated. Eggs are an obligatory Easter tradition. They symbolize the Holy Sepulcher, in which eternal life is hidden.

The red color, which is mostly painted with Easter eggs, is indicative of Christ's suffering and shed blood for human sins.

Natural dye eggs-onion husks, the broth which gives a rich terracotta or yellow color.

Traditionally, folk craftsmen paint eggs with ornaments and patterns-these are pysanka. Decorative eggs are made of wood, beads and other materials. An example is the famous Faberge eggs.

These Easter days are filled with the joy of communication in the family circle, in friendly encounters, picnics, festivities, where the favorite activity is skating eggs.

The obligatory attribute of this holiday were bouquets of flowers decorating family feasts, presented to wives, mothers, brides, girlfriends.

By the way, from the first Sunday after Easter, you can marry. It is believed that the marriages concluded these days are always happy.
